Basil All Year Around ("BAYA," "we," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit basilallyeararound.com, buy from us online or in person, contact us, or join our Email Club. It covers personal information we collect regardless of which product you buy, including fresh basil.

1. Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, the products you order, payment and transaction details, messages you send us, and information needed to handle a return or customer-service request. If you sign up for the Email Club, we collect your email address and any name or full date of birth you choose to provide for birthday offers. The birthday field is optional. Our payment providers collect and process card or other payment credentials; we receive transaction information needed to confirm and manage a purchase. Our website and hosting provider may also collect device, browser, IP address, and necessary cookie or security information when you use the site.

2. How we use information
We use information to process payments, fulfill and ship orders, provide customer support, handle returns and recalls, maintain business and tax records, protect our website, and meet legal obligations. We use an email address for promotional messages, product updates, and birthday offers when you sign up for our Email Club or choose the marketing option at checkout. You may buy from us without joining the marketing list. We do not currently send marketing text messages. If we add them, we will explain that use and request any consent required before sending them.

3. Marketing choices
You can stop marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or writing to info@basilallyeararound.com. Unsubscribing does not stop order confirmations, shipping updates, safety notices, or messages needed to complete a purchase. If you want us to remove your birthday information or change your email preferences, contact us at the same address.

4. When information is shared
We do not sell or rent customer information or give it to other businesses for their independent marketing. We share only what is needed with service providers that help us operate, including Hostinger for our website and email marketing, Stripe and SumUp for payments, and delivery or shipping companies for order fulfillment. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect customers or our business, or in connection with a lawful business transfer. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy notices as well as their arrangements with us.

5. Cookies and website tools
The site or its hosting and checkout provider may use cookies and similar technical tools needed for the shopping bag, checkout, security, and site operation. We do not currently use Google Analytics or Meta/Facebook advertising pixels. Browser settings may let you control cookies, although blocking necessary cookies can prevent checkout from working. If we add advertising or optional analytics tools, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.

6. Retention and security
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed for fulfillment, accounting, tax, legal, and dispute purposes. We keep marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, subject to records we must retain. We use reasonable safeguards and service providers to protect information, but no online system can promise absolute security.

7. Your privacy requests
You may contact us to ask what personal information we have about you, correct it, request its deletion, or change your marketing preferences. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some information must be retained for transactions, tax, safety, or legal reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including access, portability, restriction, objection, or a right to complain to a privacy regulator.

8. International customers
Our business is in the United States. Information you submit may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the need to fulfill a purchase or request, your consent for optional marketing, our legal obligations, and legitimate interests in customer service and site security, as appropriate. We will honor additional rights and transfer requirements that apply to an international customer.

9. Children
Our website and Email Club are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it.
